Gmail signatures and a bilingual disclaimer
Set up individual staff signatures using GAM and helped introduce a bilingual domain disclaimer.
Context
University email needed consistent sender information and a bilingual disclaimer. These were two separate tasks: a personal signature for each staff member and a disclaimer managed through domain settings.
My contribution
I helped prepare structured staff information for the signatures, including names, roles, email addresses, and an official page. Optional contact details could be included where appropriate.
I used GAM to set up signatures in work accounts. ChatGPT helped prepare the commands and resolve technical questions; I ran the commands.
Testing and rollout
We checked the signatures on two accounts before setting them up more widely. We made them the default for new messages, and users kept their own personal details up to date.
The bilingual disclaimer was tested with a limited group and then enabled across the domain. It was updated separately from personal signatures.
Outcome
Personal signatures were applied to staff accounts, and the bilingual disclaimer was enabled across the domain.
